How to Enter for Charity

Pick which charity you are interested in running for.
To ‘Register your Interest’ in running for a charity you will need to supply your race details to your chosen charity through the marathon website. Press ‘Send my information to charity’.
You will also be able to purchase shuttle bus tickets and race merchandise as part of the enquiry process but these will only be sent after your charity approves your entry.
Most charities will send you a sponsorship pledge form for you to sign or ask you to agree to a minimum fundraising target before they give you a charity place. YOU DO NOT HAVE A PLACE IN THE KILOMATHON UNTIL THE CHARITY GIVES YOU A ONE OF THEIR CHARITY PLACES.
After your charity is happy that you agree to raise the minimum fundraising target they will approve your entry. You will get an automatic email from the marathon office to confirm your place.

Fundraising can actually be a lot of fun. Don’t be put off by the target. Once you get organized just a few simple events can raise you all the money you need. Your chosen charity will give you lots of support and encouragement and you can even arrange all your sponsors to pay you online by setting up your own webpage at www.justgiving.com

If you do decide to run for charity we will make sure you are looked after. We will offer you your own hospitality area and we plan to arrange fundraising opportunities throughout the year which will make your target even easier to reach.
