About the video above.
Border Collie Rescue made this film from slides recording the recreation of a traditional  cattle drove between the Island of Skye and Crieff in 1981.
The photographs were taken by Irvine Butterfield and show the remote beauty of the Scottish landscape through which, over hundreds of years, the drovers were obliged to move their cattle in order to make a living.
Life was harder in those days and Collie Dogs played their part in it, as they do now..
Running events are a good way of raising funds for our work and fit in well with the work ethic of the breed we care for.
Help us help more dogs by running to raise funds for us.

About Border Collie Rescue.
We are a cross border dedicated canine breed rescue, specialising in Border Collies and herding (working) dogs.
We rescue, assess, re-home and provide sanctuary and care to as many dogs as possible and work to promote a better understanding of the breed and its welfare.
More information about our work can be found on our main website, Border Collie Rescue on Line
Around 50% of our work takes place in Scotland and as laws and some other conditions are different from the rest of the UK we run a dedicated Scottish website.

Running with Dogs
Border Collie Rescue encourages physical fitness and exercise for dogs and their owners through the development of running partnerships between them.
The charity runs a website with information and advice on how to get started, and links to resources and tips on training to run for fun or competition.
