Autism is not rare. Today in the UK there are over 500,000 individuals with some form of autistic spectrum condition. However, very little is known about the best ways of assisting them and affected individuals and their families are vulnerable in the face of an increasing number of supposed cures or 'miracles'. Research Autism is the only charity focused exclusively on building a solid research base to document interventions for autism rather than its causes. It aims to be the 'trusted voice' that those affected so desperately need for guidance on effective and scientifically researched treatments.
Reseach Autism commissions, carries out and supports high quality,
independent research into new and existing health, education, social and other interventions in the field of autism.
